Coffee cups a plenty for charity
16:01, 28 September 2007
LOCAL bobbies joined charity fund-raisers in lifting their mugs for the World's Biggest Coffee Morning.
PCSOs from the Mottingham Safer Neighbourhood police team popped into Mottingham Community Learning Shop for a cuppa in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
The centre, in Cranley Parade, Beaconsfield Road, runs community courses in basic skills and hosts surgeries by ward councillors and police officers.
Macmillan hopes to make £7million from the nationwide event to support sufferers and their families.
Last year, two million people raised their cups - with every one helping to improve the lives of people with cancer.
