Forty-six brave souls will be making a giant leap for almost 40 good causes at the Canterbury Abseil this Saturday.
The event which is being staged at the Premier Inn building in the City Centre has been organised by the KM Charity Team with support from Pizza Hut and Miles and Barr.
Joe Singh Johal of Pizza Hut said he welcomed the opportunity to help local charities. “The people of Canterbury have been nothing but supportive since we opened and we could not think of a more fitting way to show our appreciation,” he said.
Event organiser Dominic Comins of the KM Charity Team thanked Mr Johal and said: “It wouldn’t be possible to stage events of this calibre without the support of local businesses.”
He added: “Friends, family and shoppers are welcome to come along and cheer as our daredevil fundraisers make their way to the ground.”
The participant who raises the most money for charity will win a VIP Panto Experience at the Marlowe Theatre, courtesy of Evolution Productions, including top seats for Aladdin and the chance to meet the star cast.
