Join Bluebell Walk through heart of Kent
16:13, 24 March 2006
THE annual Bluebell Walk in aid of the Heart of Kent Hospice is set this year for Sunday, April 30, the Bank Holiday weekend.
The circular walk, known for its beautiful scenery and pure countryside route, is 8.5 miles long and starts from Harrietsham community centre.
Walkers will enjoy the picturesque views of the North Downs, parts of the Pilgrim’s Way, while also going through the privately-owned bluebell woods, opened especially for the walk by Torry Hill Estate.
Walkers can arrive at Harrietsham Community Centre between 9am and 11.30am to set off for the walk. The community centre is on Church Road, just off the A20 between Maidstone and Lenham.
Sponsorship forms can be downloaded directly from the hospice website at www.hokh.co.uk or you can call 01622 790195 for a form to be posted to you. The entry is £5 per adult and £2 per child under 16. If sponsorship exceeds £50 entrance costs are waived.
