Ashford-based Hallett and Co bringing multiple teams to compete in KM Big Charity Quiz

A small army of lawyers are expected to descend on south Kent’s KM Big Charity Quiz next month, but the invasion is not because of libelous questions disparaging the great and the good.
Legal and support staff from Hallett and Co are embracing the annual charity event staged by the charity department at the Express and bringing four teams to join in the fun.
Teams of eight can take part in the mammoth wine and wisdom evening which will be staged at the Stour Centre, Ashford on Friday, 18 November. Team captains should use discount code ASH16 when booking their table online at www.kmbigquiz.co.uk This reduces the cost per head to £7, which includes nibbles and snacks on the table, a complimentary beverage and a bottle of wine per table.
A number of community causes will benefit from funds raised on the night including Fairshare, the food bank charity, as well as Buster’s Book Club – which turns primary school children into reading millionaires and is one of the beneficiaries of the KM Year of Reading campaign. Also receiving a share will be children’s road safety and green travel to school schemes.
Abi Howland said: “Hallett and Co really respect the charities benefiting on the night and it is a great team-builder for our staff taking part.”
Simon Dolby from the KM Charity Team will be quiz master on the night. He said: “Hallett and Co staff are a great bunch and with four teams involved we will present a special prize to their top placed team on the night, so as well as competing against every other team present for the Kentish Express Big Quiz trophy, they will also have their own mini competition.”
Any organisation bringing three or more teams along can receive their own mini competition prize, but there will also be a prize awarded to the top placed team with links to caring services or schools and local government.
Organisations supporting the event include Shepherd Neame, Barclays bank, Specsavers, Hallett and Co, Office Angels and the Stour Centre. To secure your table or to submit a question for the Readers Round visit www.kmbigquiz.co.uk
