Kent is home to countless country estates, many of which are steeped in history and filled with jaw-dropping features.
These stunning stately homes have all been divided into separate properties that might be smaller than their original manor houses but are in no way less grand or glamorous.
Langton Green, Tunrbridge Wells
This Grade II-listed mansion was once the home of Princess Louise, the fourth daughter of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. The manor has now been divided into three stunning homes, with the west wing currently on the market for £2 million.
Despite being mostly rebuilt in 1925, the property has retained many of its period features such as the original panelling and mouldings, oak floors, stone mullion windows and decorative fireplaces. There’s also five bedrooms, three reception rooms and beautiful gardens with yew hedging, a York stone terrace and vibrant lawns.

Mount Pleasant, Lamberhurst
The Owl House, a five-bedroom property, was once part of a larger country estate. This particular property was named because of the ‘owlers’ who would smuggle wool from the Kent coast to France in the 1600s and communicated from their nighttime hideouts by calling to each other like owls.
The £1.95 million detached house was renovated in 1952 by Lady Dufferin, who would have celebrities and royal family members visit on the weekends, and still has many quirky features including the ‘cat slide roof’, crooked chimney and inglenook fireplaces. There’s also breathtaking grounds and a separate annexe with its own bedroom, shower room and kitchenette.

Stede Hill, Harrietsham
Colesdane is an award-winning mansion estate surrounded by nine acres of landscaped gardens and woodlands with views of the Kent countryside. The stately home was built in 2001 by John Walker Developments and has now been converted into apartments, including a luxurious penthouse pad on the market for £1.25 million.
Residents will step out of their private lift and into the three-bedroom suite, which has lots of elegant touches such as sash windows, high ceilings and a marble fireplace. The flat also has a spacious lounge, a bespoke kitchen with grand central island and a built-in seating and a master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and views of the grounds.
