Built in the year the original version of Georgia on my Mind was recorded, this house still carries the song in its name.
Georgia, at Dover Road, Sandwich, was built in 1930, the year the song was written and recorded by Hoagy Carmichael. He had a sister named Georgia, but it became a hit again for Ray Charles, a native of the state of Georgia, in 1960.
Priced at £750,000, with estate agent Finn's, the five-bedroom detached house comes with beautiful landscaped gardens and views across farmland. A plaque records the build date and the house name.
There are three reception rooms, including a large double aspect sitting room, which has two sets of french doors. The kitchen/breakfast room has white gloss units, central island and integrated appliances.
There is a downstairs cloakroom and a utility room and a doorway leads through to the double garage.
The first floor has a double aspect master bedroom with shower room. The guest suite also has an en suite and there are three further bedrooms and a family bathroom. A small study is on this floor. There's an attic room.
Sarah Parker-Yates, of Finn's says: "This impressive 1930s family home boasts spacious and versatile accommodation."
