Helping the disadvantaged find work
00:00, 05 July 2002
THE Thanet Local Radio Charitable Trust has presented the Shaw Trust project based in Broadstairs with a new computer.
Each year, the Shaw Trust supports more than 10,000 people across England, Scotland and Wales, helping them prepare for and find jobs. It is a national charity that provides routes to work for people who are disadvantaged in the workplace due to disability, ill-health or other social circumstances.
The presentation was made by Vic Butler, chairman of the TLR Trust. He was accompanied by members of the TLR Trust and Lindsay Godley, Shaw Trust Projects' manager for Kent, who received the gift.
