MAZDA'S latest high-value MX-5 range is now available with a specification that further strengthens its position as top roadster. In line with the company's recent price and specification realignment across its range, the new-look MX-5 sports car provides more performance, equipment and style at no extra cost.
The enhancement programme focussed on developing the key dynamic elements of driving pleasure which have made the MX-5 the best-selling lightweight two-seater sports car in the world since its introduction in 1989. More than 600,000 have been sold, an amazing number that stands as a Guinness world record for a roadster.
In developing this latest generation MX-5, Mazda set out to expand and further express the fun aspect of the car, while retaining its distinctive styling features, in tandem with a significant improvement in value through even more competitive pricing.
While the pricing of the improved 1.6i remains unchanged at just £14,995, the upgraded 1.8-litre models cost £500 less than the versions they replace, at £15,495 for the 1.8i and £17,495 for the outstanding 1.8i Sport, which now proudly features a six-speed manual gearbox.
Mazda has also extended the versatility of the MX-5 range by adding a 1.8-litre model with four-speed automatic transmission, priced at £16,495.
