Tracker system selected by BMW
00:00, 07 September 2001
BMW has chosen Tracker as its officially approved stolen vehicle recovery system.
Tracker's three systems, Retrieve, Monitor and Horizon, are homing devices which, when activated by a vehicle theft, lead the police to the exact location and often the unsuspecting thieves.
Since its launch in 1993, the systems - used by all 52 of the UK's police forces - have helped retrieve more than 6,600 vehicles worth £103m and help the police arrest more than 1,250 car thieves.
