Warning over M20 sliproad repairs
00:00, 28 November 2003
MANY drivers are being advised to leave extra time for their journey next week while an M20 sliproad is resurfaced.
The eastbound sliproad at junction four at West Malling will be shut overnight from Wednesday, December 3, until Friday, December 5.
Drivers are asked to divert on to the westbound carriageway of the motorway to junction 2a of the M26, and then back to join rejoin the eastbound carriageway of the M20.
Work is due to start at 7.30pm each night, and estimated to finish at 5am every morning.
Mick Cairnie, Highways Agency route manager, said: “The resurfacing works are necessary to keep the road surface safe and in good condition. The sliproad will be closed so that the work can be carried out safely and quickly with minimum disruption.
“Drivers should allow extra time for their journeys while the diversion is in place,” he added.
Anyone wanting further information is asked to call the Highways Agency on 0845 6000414.
