Yokosuka Way in Gillingham closed after police receive reports for the concern for the welfare of man in Godden Way

A major road was closed during the early hours of this morning after police received reports for the concern for the welfare of a man.
Officers were called out to an area near the A289 Yokosuka Way in Gillingham shortly after 4.30am.
They say they closed the road between Cornwallis Avenue and Lower Rainham Road while they dealt with the incident.
A spokesman for Police said: "Kent Police was called at 4.35am to concerns for the welfare of a man in Godden Way, Gillingham.
Officers attended the scene where the man was passed into the care of health professionals.
"Patrols closed Yokosuka Way while they dealt with the incident."
It is understood the road is now fully reopened.
