Fire destroyed car outside Neptune Pub, Hythe Road, Dymchurch
11:06, 19 April 2017
A black Saab was 90% destroyed by a fire that is now under police investigation.
The car blaze outside the Neptune Pub in Hythe Road, Dymchurch, was reported to Kent Fire and Rescue (KFRS) just before 9.45pm last night.
Firefighters spent nearly an hour and a half putting the flames out with foam in a bid to stop contamination from an oil and fuel leak.
The flames had also ignited a fence next to where the vehicle was parked.
A KFRS spokesman said: "The car was 90% destroyed by the fire which had spread to the fence next to it.
"It has been reported to the police.
"We finished just after 11pm, we had to protect the environment as there is oil and fuel that leaks out."
The vehicle remains taped off this morning.
Kent Police has been approached for a comment.
