Motorists faced long delays after a car overturned in a crash on a busy road.
The A259 Dymchurch Road in West Hythe was shut in both directions following the collision at about 4pm.
Emergency services descended on the road, between Redoubt Way and Botolphs Bridge Road, according to traffic information site Inrix.
Diversions were put in place while the scene was cleared.
The car involved had been removed by 6pm and traffic has since returned to normal.
Earlier today, one person responded to a Facebook post alerting users to the crash: "Only just got home from Cheriton which I left at 3pm.
"Bus and lorries are using back roads so be warned it is a long journey home."
