Man, 67, dies after crash in Newchurch, Romney Marsh

A van driver has been arrested after a man was killed in a crash on a rural road on Romney Marsh.
The crash happened between a brown Mercedes Sprinter and a grey Mazda 4 on Newchurch Lane at 3.45pm yesterday.
A 67-year-old Ashford man was driving the Mazda when the accident happened near the junction with Norwood Lane.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The van driver, a 28-year-old man from Catford, suffered minor injuries and was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
He was later released for further inquiries.
Det Sgt Scott Lynch from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: "This was a very rural location but I would like anyone who saw either vehicle being driven before or at the time of the collision to contact our office with details of what they witnessed."
