The team behind a fashion shoot on Dungeness ran into trouble when their van became wedged in the shingle for four hours.

The driver of the minibus was attempting to turn the vehicle around when it got lodged in the soft verges on the National Nature Reserve.

The crew were there to do a shoot for a fashion magazine and had driven from London for the day.

But they were held up when their vehicle got trapped on the beach.

Owen Leyshon, the site's manager, came across the van and attempted to tow it out - but was unable to due to its size.

In the end the driver had a four hour wait after calling for road side recovery.

Mr Leyshon said: "We get a few vehicles stuck on the nature reserve on a weekly basis. We try our best to get them out but it's people not realising the verges are soft.

"There are a few signs but we don't want the whole place covered in them.

"If it was a smaller vehicle we could have pulled it out, but it was a large people carrier. So we had to wait for a recovery vehicle to pull him out."

On the same day another driver also became stuck, with Mr Leyshon assisting with their recovery by towing the vehicle himself.
