Dustcart reverses into entrance porch of house in Paddock Close, Lydd, leaving driver unconscious

A driver was left unconscious after his dustcart reversed into a house.
It happened at Paddock Close, Lydd, just before 11am today.
The lorry ended up crashing into the entrance porch of the house, leaving the occupants trapped inside.
Kent Police say the lorry driver was taken into the care of paramedics and conveyed to Ashford’s William Harvey Hospital.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service said that the lorry had lifted the roof of the porch but there was no damage to the walls or structure of the property.
South East Coast Ambulance Service said: "We were called to a report of a dustcart that had gone into a house and the driver needed medical attention. He was described as unconscious.
"We treated the man at the scene and took him to hospital."
An ambulance, two paramedic cars and and a HART (Hazardous Area Response Team) vehicle were called out.
No other injuries have been reported so far.
