This is the charred wreckage of a fishing boat that ended up alight on a beach.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service says that the 10 metre-long wooden vessel was “well alight” on the shingle near Coast Drive, Lydd-on-Sea.
Fire crews were called out just after 5.50pm yesterday and used a hose reel jet to put out the flames.
Retained firefighters from the Romney Marsh attended and were at the scene until just before 7.10pm.
The cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed.
