Romney Marsh drink-drive arrest after young Hythe biker badly hurt in crash near Newchurch

A young biker has suffered serious head injuries after a crash with a car on Romney Marsh.
The 24-year-old, from Hyhe, was taken to hospital after the smash after leaving Newchurch on Sunday night.
A 59-year-old Ashford man has been arrested at the scene on suspicion of drink driving and released on bail until Thursday, June 12.
The younger man's white Yamaha XT125 was involved in a collision with a blue Mercedes CLK320 towards the A259.
Emergency services were called to the scene at about 7.40pm.
Police said the biker remains in a London hospital with serious head injuries.
The Mercedes driver was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
