Naturists Brian Tucker and Margaret Dallard are celebrating a lottery win thanks to some very lucky balls.

Champagne was flowing after they matched five numbers and the bonus ball.

The couple from Romney Marsh, who both work at Dungeness Power Station, were astonished to find they had won £240,928 in the draw on Saturday, July 5.

Mr Tucker, 59, and his partner Ms Dallard, 53, recalled their reaction when they realised their luck.

“I recognised the numbers and looked at my ticket” said Mr Tucker. “I just thought, 'Oh my god, we’ve won, we’ve won!’

“I jumped about and just went mad! It is a life changing sum of money.”

The couple, who are regular visitors to the Invicta Sun nudists’ club near Dover, are planning on paying off their mortgage and have already given out some of the cash to their family.

Ms Dallard said: “We keep checking our bank balance to make sure it’s all still there.

“It doesn’t have to be the big figures to change your life.”

The ticket was bought from Village Stores in Dymchurch and owner Minesh Patel was thrilled to hear they had won.

He said: “It is the first win from our store that I am aware of and I am just so pleased for them. They are regular visitors to our stores so I am really happy it was them.”

After hearing of their win, the couple celebrated in London with a romantic meal followed by a visit to the theatre to see Joseph.

Ms Dallard has been a naturist for 24 years, whereas Mr Tucker only started taking part two years ago.

They both attend a naturist club most weekends and claim it gives them a great feeling of freedom.

She said: “We love going up there as you can shut the outside world out.

“We do everything that everybody else does, just naked. For example, I am talking to you, not to your body.”

Ms Dallard works as an administrator and Mr Tucker as a security guard, but Ms Dallard said they will not be retiring soon.

“We both love our jobs and work with a fantastic group of people, so we won’t be retiring just yet.”

Mr Tucker has been playing the lottery for years, first picking out the winning numbers 2, 12, 22, 26, 28 and 30 with his late wife.

“She always said they would be the winning numbers, and she was right.”

The couple are also planning a visit to Australia later this year.
