Residents have praised a brazen mystery graffiti artist after they defaced potholes with rude drawings of a penis.
The vandal targeted the tarmac on the A259 in Dymchurch due to a huge break in the road surface, which has been left for about a year.
It is believed the phallic shapes were painted on Sunday and Monday evening in two separate hits.
Pictures show smaller yellow shapes around the holes, and one larger blue one.
They are accompanied by the words “Dix till fix!”
People have taken to social media to praise the sprayer’s efforts.
David Smith wrote: “The hero we didn't know we needed! Spot on, and good luck to them.”
Daniel Coates said: “Excellent - keep up the good work. Willies will keep appearing until it's repaired.”
Kriss Sharpe joined in too adding: “Well done to whoever did this.
“We should erect a statue to you. It might be hard to do.
“Let's see who has the balls to do it.”
Witnesses reported seeing Kent County Council workers at the site, taking photos of the spray paint.
They hope that the artwork will help get the broken highway fixed sooner.
It is not the first time this approach has been seen in Kent.
In 2016 bright blue images of penises were spotted on roads in The Linces near Green Park Primary School, Dover.
A Kent County Council spokesperson said: “Graffitiing roads and pavements is a criminal offence. Once we are made aware of this we look to remove it, if it is deemed to be offensive, as soon as practicable.
“Repairs to potholes and other road safety defects are assessed separately and prioritised according to the risk they pose to the travelling public.”
