Police, ambulance, and Coastguard rescue helicopter called to stranded swimmers in Dymchurch

Emergency services including the Search and Rescue helicopter have descended on a Kent beach.
Police, ambulance and coastguard services attended Dymchurch beach after two people became stranded in the water.
Eyewitnesses saw the helicopter hovering over the sea as coastguard vessels sped through the water.
It is understood that at least one person became stuck in the mud, while a second reportedly got into difficulty while attempting to help them.
The helicopter landed on the beach and the swimmers have since made it safely to shore.
An eyewitness said: "We had to duck down when the helicopter landed, there were kids screaming and crying."
A coastguard spokesperson said: "HM Coastguard was called at 4.07pm about two people who were stranded in the water at Dymchurch.

"A coastguard rescue team from Dungeness was sent, with the coastguard search and rescue helicopter from Lydd and an RNLI lifeboat from Littlestone.
"The people made it safely to shore, and are being assessed by a paramedic from the coastguard search and rescue helicopter.
"South East Ambulance Service are now on scene."
Police and ambulance services have been contacted for comment.
