Two suspected migrants have been pictured being met by police after landing on the Kent coast.

The men, who are seen talking to officers before getting into a squad car, are believed to have landed at Greatstone on Romney Marsh, where a dinghy was photographed this morning.

Border Force is dealing with three ongoing small boat incidents off the Kent coast.

The Home Office was unable to confirm details about the incidents until they have been resolved.

But there have been other signs of migrant cases today at Dover and Lydd.

HM Coastguard has been helping Border Force with the incidents off the Kent coast.

A spokesman said: "HM Coastguard is committed to safeguarding life around the seas and coastal areas of this country.

"We are only concerned with preservation of life, rescuing those in trouble and bringing them safely back to shore, where they will be handed over to the relevant partner emergency services or authorities."

The full picture of what exactly happened and where is yet to be completed.

But a police spokesman said;: "Kent Police was called to a report of a boat containing people on the shore in Dungeness Road area of Lydd at 7.17am today.

"Officers attended to assist Border Force."

Meanwhile another member of the public told of seeing migrants this morning, draped in towels at Dover Western Docks.

They were seen under the care of British authorities.
