A man dubbed the Lion of London Bridge after confronting a terrorist has admitted having amphetamines in his home.

Roy Larner was one of 48 people injured in the terror attacks around Borough Market in June last year, in which eight people died.

He was stabbed several times as he bravely confronted the killers and was hailed worldwide for his heroics, with a petition set up online to award him the George Cross.

A little over a year later, the 48-year-old was arrested after police raided his caravan home at The Parade in Greatstone on Romney Marsh in September and seized 240 grams of the Class B drug.

He pleaded guilty to illegally possessing the drug at Canterbury Crown Court but denies a more serious charge of intending to sell it to others.

He will face a one-day trial in February next year and was granted bail until the next hearing.
