Emergency services were called this afternoon after three people became stuck in mud.
Fire crews from both New Romney and Folkestone were sent to Littlestone beach just before 4pm after it was reported that three people had become trapped in the mud.
The coastguard was also alerted to the incident.
However, it is understood the trio managed to escape before crews arrived.
New Romney crew manager Robert Groombridge said: "We were called at 3.55pm following a report three people were stuck. We didn't know how serious it was so crews from Folkestone were also called in.
"However they were out before we got there. We told Folkestone and they turned around."
The coastguard was also informed and therefore didn't attend the incident.
Mr Groombridge added: "People do need to be careful on the beach as it can be very dangerous. Do not play in the mud."
