Woman hit by car in Lydd High Street

Lydd High Street was closed after a woman was knocked down by a car.
It happened at about 9.50am today opposite Lydd Fish Bar and the victim suffered head and leg injuries.
A Kent Police spokesman said this morning: "The road is currently blocked while emergency services deal with the incident."
A spokesman for SECAmb said that a 47-year-old woman was taken to Ashford's William Harvey Hospital with leg, hip and head pains for treatment and further assessment.
