Crash shuts A256 in both directions

A crash between a van and a motorbike shut the A256 in both directions.
Emergency services attended the scene of the accident, near the Esso Garage on Ramsgate Road, near Richborough.
Kent Police were called at 5.46pm and the road remained closed for several hours afterwards.
A man was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
