Fire crews tackled a shed fire in Worth this morning.
Two pumps from Eastry and Sandwich attended Jubilee Road just before 4am, after a shed together with surrounding grass and undergrowth had caught alight.
Crews used a hose reel and operated a water shuttle to tackle the blaze, which is believed to have started accidentally due to natural combustion in a large compost heap.
Firefighters gave safety advice to the owner and are reminding people that compost heaps should be turned over and aired regularly in warm weather, to avoid them overheating in strong sun.
