Relatives travelled thousands of miles to attend a reunion in Sandwich.
44 members of the Hancock family attended the event held at The Bell Hotel on July 27 - the youngest being five and the eldest 87.
It included six people from Canada, 11 from USA, one originally from South Africa and others who travelled from Spalding, Norfolk and around Kent.
The Hancock Family has a long history with Deal with their great, great grandfather William North reported to have played cards with the nobility at The Royal Hotel. This was the venue for previous reunions in the 1979 and 2000.
The group enjoyed a lunch, some of which selected a ploughman's and trifle, followed by PowerPoint presentations which provided details of the family connection to the Monins family of Ringwould and the Hancock family ancestry.
They shared stories of the war with the younger generation and paid tributes to the four members of the family whom had passed away since the last reunion of 2000.
Jennifer Hancock said: "The Bell Hotel’s event manager and staff did an outstanding job of hosting the event.
"A family time capsule was begun in 2000 and this same capsule will now contain the 2019 reunion address and photograph."
