Two fire engines were called to the River Stour near Sandwich Quay after a fire broke out in a boat's engine room on Tuesday afternoon.
When crews arrived they found the back of the vessel well-alight and used breathing gear and hoses to tackle the flames.
The fire on the 10 metre pleasure craft broke out just after 3pm.
White smoke billowed from the back of the boat as firefighters battled to save the vessel, and prevent the blaze spreading to other craft.
