A large hole has appeared in a village's main road.
The sinkhole gradually built through the day on Guilton in Ash, before fully subsiding.
Estimated by onlookers to be around six-feet-deep, road workers are on the scene and have created a barrier around the crevice.
Cracks show the size of the fall is wider than the already opened-up hole.
Guilton runs right through Ash, and is a vital route for Ash and Staple residents to access the A257 Ash bypass.
Stagecoach announced on Tiwtter that the village's usual bus route could not serve Guilton Corner and The Volunteer pub bus stops because of the hole.
Kent County Council has confirmed two way lights are being set up and arrangements are being made to investigate and make the road safe.
