Man airlifted to hospital after incident in Woodnesborough Road, Sandwich

A 45-year-old man has been flown to hospital after a fall in Sandwich.
Police, ambulance and air ambulance crews were called to Woodnesborough Road at about 8.30pm yesterday.
Police closed the road while paramedics treated the man for head injuries.
Kent Air Ambulance confirmed the man had head and thorax injuries after an accidental fall.
There were three ambulances and one car from SECAmb who worked with air ambulance teams to treat him at the scene.
A spokesman for SECAmb said: "He was not hit by a car, he stumbled into a stationary car and collapsed in need of medical attention.
"His injuries included a cut to his head, he was unconscious."
He was then taken to St George's Hospital in London by the air ambulance.
It is not yet known how or why the man collapsed.
A spokesman for Kent Police said: "Police were called to an incident of a man who was being treated for head injuries.
"Police are making enquiries to establish how the man received the injuries."
