Firefighters were called out to aid a man who had ended up in a river.
The man had got out of the water by the time the crew arrived and was dealt with by paramedics.
One fire engine was called to the scene at the River Stour near the former Pfizer site at Sandwich Road, Sandwich, at 1.30am today.
Ramsgate Fire Station watch manager Dave Halls said: “By the time we got there he was on the bank and we used a ladder to get him over fencing.
“Police and the ambulance service were there and they dealt with the situation.”
The man, in his 20s, was not thought to be hurt and it is not known how he ended up in the river.
