Rescue charity Futures for Dogs is looking for a new home for an American bulldog-cross which was beaten by her first owner.
Meli who is now nine months old came to Futures for Dogs in June. When the she was just 17 weeks she was severely beaten and had to have her front leg and shoulder removed.
The centre has not been able to find a loving home for Meli and fears potential owners may be put off because of her size and because she has missing a leg.
Futures for Dogs volunteer Jess Bold said: “She is so funny when she tries to pretend she is a lap dog and surprises people by trying to sit on them for cuddles.”
There will be a chance to meet Meli today (Saturday) at the Bits and Bobs Fair at the Guildhall in Sandwich from from 9am to 3pm.
