A woman from Dover will cut 12 inches off her hair to give to a charity which helps make wigs for young girls with cancer.
Briony Scott, 25, of Mayfield Road, is inviting people to watch as well as bid to be the one to cut off the first lock of hair.
The auction and cut will be in her cousin Melissa Scott’s salon Real Style, in King Street, Sandwich, on Saturday, at noon.
Miss Scott said: “I’ve been growing my hair for 20 years, on and off, and now it’s time to give it to someone who needs it more than I do.
“I will donating it to The Little Princess Trust to give young girls the chance to feel like a princess again after losing their hair due to cancer.”
• Help her reach her £350 target by donating at Real Style, King Street, Sandwich, or www.justgiving.com/briony-scott
