Animal carcasses have been found on the back seat of a burnt-out car left in an Eastry field.
Police received a report of an abandoned vehicle in a field behind Brook Street.
Officers attended the scene on two occasions, discovering several sets of animal remains - thought to be chickens - on the back seat.
The discovery was made at 2.20pm on Friday October 28, but details have only just emerged.
Police spokeman Natalie Hardy said: “Anyone with information that can help is asked to contact Kent Police on 01843 222289 or Kent Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 quoting reference 28-0711.”
