A number of roads in Ash will be closed over the summer holidays due to gas mains work.
The Street, New Street and Queens Road will be closed from Thursday, July 24, to September 3.
Chloe Boyce, spokeswoman for Southern Gas Networks, said: “We’re carrying out essential gas mains replacement work at Ash.
“To ensure everyone’s safety, we need to close The Street, New Street and Queens Road.
“We have planned to carry out this section of our works during the school summer holiday to minimise disruption.”
The Street will be closed from Goodban Square along through New Street to its junction with Cherry Garden Lane.
Queens Road will also be closed between The Street and Ash Village Hall car park and signed diversions will be in place for motorists and buses.
For residents on these roads access will be maintained and SGN has sent out customer leaflets to all those affected.
