Police and forensics teams have been at the scene of a raid on a sandwich shop today.

Burglars targeted the Subway branch in Richborough, near Sandwich, making off with a safe containing £650.

It is thought the culprits smashed a back window to gain access to the store.

The raid is believed to have happened between 10.30pm yesterday and 6am today.

A police spokesman said: "Inquiries continue".
