A women's fashion shop opened its new premises in King Street, Sandwich, on Saturday.

Lady Elegance, selling hats and accessories, has also expanded into menswear.

The move has prompted owner Gillian Hardy to take up a new, larger premises next door.

Mr Kevin Cook, the town crier joined members of the town council to help celebrate the launch.

The shop welcomed customers old and new, who were all treated to a glass of champagne as well as 10% off everything in store.
