Actors of a new theatre company are preparing for their inaugural show thanks to expert training from Royal Shakespeare Company associate Michael Corbidge.
ReShake Theatre is the newly established company-in-residence at St Mary’s Arts Centre in Sandwich, created by Doug Gardiner and Lizzie Willis, who studied drama together under Mr Corbidge in Deal over 20 years ago.
The company will perform Macbeth in the Strand Street venue on Friday and Saturday from 7.30pm.
This production has a Japanese essence and integrates live drumming to create drama and tension.
Mrs Willis said “This is potentially the most ambitious play to tackle as a first production – there certainly has been some blood, sweat and tears involved!”
Performances are at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £10, £8 concessions and £5 under 18s available in advance from ticketsource.co.uk/reshake-theatre.
