A manhunt is underway for the owner of a car left abandoned by a popular duck pond in the early hours of this morning.

Police were called to the scene in Otford Road, Sevenoaks, just after 5am where they found the vehicle which had left the road and mounted the roundabout.

A spokesperson said: "Inquiries are ongoing to locate the registered owner."

Police in Sevenoaks added that no ducks were harmed in the crash.

The idyllic traffic island has previously been named the best in the country by the Roundabout Appreciation Society.
