A car came off the road forcing one lane of a busy dual carriageway to be shut this evening.

Emergency services were called to the A21 near Hildenborough shortly after 5pm after the vehicle crashed off the road.

Delays have been reported on the southbound Sevenoaks bypass but all lanes have now reopened.

The inside lane was closed earlier with delays between the Morley's Road and B245 junction at Hildenborough and the A26 London Road turn off for Southborough.

Highways England says delays of around 15 minutes are being reported with traffic expected to return to normal at around 8.30pm.

Kent Police said no injuries had been reported and the vehicle was being recovered.
