Smoke was seen pouring from a warehouse fire tackled by eight fire engines this afternoon.
The large blaze at the industrial unit at White Hill in Wrotham, near Sevenoaks, drew a significant response from the fire service after reports were received at about 3.15pm.
At the peak of the operation to contain the fire, eight fire appliances were in attendance.
People in the surrounding area have been advised to close windows and doors due to the smoke.
By 7pm the operation had been scaled back, with three fire engines and a bulk water carrier remaining at the scene.
A spokesman for the fire service said: "Crews tackling the fire are making good progress, however the earlier advice for nearby residents to close windows and doors remains in place due to smoke in the area.
"There are currently no reported casualties."
