Several Kent towns have been named as some of the happiest places to live in Britain.
More than 21,000 people from more than 200 locations were asked how they feel about where they live.
The Happy at Home study, conducted by estate agents Rightmove, found that Sevenoaks is the second happiest place in the South East – losing top spot to Newbury, in Berkshire – and ranked 26th overall.
In north Kent, Tunbridge Wells ranked 11th in the South East and 43rd overall; Maidstone was placed 34th locally but 179th nationally; Rochester made it to 35th in the region, and 184th overall; and Dartford was ranked 38th in the South East and 189th nationally.
Southern Kent towns also made the list.
Folkestone was placed 23rd locally and 97th nationally; Canterbury was 30th in the region and 143rd overall; and Ashford ranked 33rd in the South East and 156th in Britain.

Experts said results showed that having a sense of belonging to your local area "is the most important contributor towards happiness, along with having a strong sense of community, and polite and friendly residents".
