All four lanes of the clockwise M25 have been reopened between junction 5 for Sevenoaks and the Clacket Lane Services after an earlier accident.
The inside lane had been closed following a collision on Sunday (17 April) involving a lorry that left the carriageway and damaged the nearside barrier after a tyre burst.
Highways England and its contractors are continuing to repair the barrier, which requires a bespoke barrier to be manufactured.
The lane has been reopened to allow all four lanes to remain open during the day, until the new barrier can be installed.
In order to safely reopen the inside lane a 50mph speed limit will remain in place.
It is anticipated that the new barrier will be installed later this week or over the weekend, using overnight lane closures. Once installed the temporary barrier and 50mph speed limit will be removed.
