A 31-year-old man has been arrested over spraying graffiti in Edenbridge.
Patrolling officers were in Station Road yesterday (Sunday) evening, when they spotted a man damaging a building.
He was detained and police seized spray paint cans and a cannabis.
He remains in custody having been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.
Inspector Nick Finnis said: "Criminal damage including graffiti can really have a negative impact on the quality of life for residents. It causes upset to many people and can make parts of our towns look unattractive, or make people feel unsafe and increase their fear of crime.
"On this occasion a suspect was arrested thanks to the alertness of my officers. I would like to reassure residents we are also continuing to work closely with our partner agencies to reduce the number of such incidents and identify those who may be responsible."
