Man charged with murder after Knockholt railway station death

Police have charged a man with murder after a 23-year-old died at a Kent railway station.
British Transport Police have released a statement saying 37-year-old Jamie Simmons, of Blackfriars Road, Southwark, will attend Westminster Magistrates' Court today.
He is alleged to have murdered Samir Draganovic, who was from Croydon, in the early hours Monday, November 6.

Officers were called to the station shortly after midnight on Monday, following reports from a train driver that a body was on the tracks nearby.
The train service which reported seeing the body was the 11.40pm service between Sevenoaks and London Charing Cross.

Although initially detectives did not think the death was suspicious, further inquiries saw detectives start treating the man's death as suspicious, and a murder investigation was launched.
