A man has been found dead in a car park outside a block of flats.
Police were called to Greatness Lane in Sevenoaks shortly after 8.30am where the body of man in his 30s was discovered.
Paramedics also attended and the man's next of kin have been notified.
Kelly Barnes, who lives opposite the car park, which is outside a small block of flats behind the One Stop Shop, says she looked out of her window at around 8.30am and saw an ambulance outside.
She said: "I panicked because I thought it was someone who lived there.
"I've lived in the area all my life so I know most people around here and so I went out to look but I'd never seen the man before.
"None of us in the street were allowed out of our houses for about five hours while police were investigating and questioning us all."
The 37-year-old added: "This isn't the sort of thing you expect to wake up on a Sunday morning to find. It's not something that happens very often.
"My heart just goes out to the man's family. He was someone's boy or brother or dad."
Miss Barnes has tied some flowers to a post outside the drive where the body was found.
She added she believes another resident spotted the man "lying between two cars on the drive" early this morning and called 999.
A couple who live in the flats - but did not want to be named - said they got a knock at the door from police just before 9am asking if they had seen anything.
The male resident said: "We could see the man from our flat and it looked like he had collapsed.
"There were about eight police cars here at one point and paramedics were working on the man for around six hours. They were using a machine to try and resuscitate him.
His wife added: "We were planning to go out and visit family today but we haven't been able to leave."
"I was quite scared to be honest."
In addition, Miss Barnes said there was a shoe out on the road with a bag beside it and a jumper on the drive, near where the man was. Another resident said he also saw the shoe and bag.
Those living nearby said police and paramedics left at around 2pm.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner, a police spokesman said.
