Man still in serious condition following reports of serious assault at The Old Eden pub in Edenbridge High Street

A man remains in hospital in a serious condition following reports of a serious assault in a pub garden.
The victim, who is in his 30s, was injured while at The Old Eden in Edenbridge High Street.
It is alleged he was assaulted following a verbal altercation at the venue between 10.30pm and 11pm on Saturday, December 16.
On Wednesday (December 20), a 20-year-old man from Sevenoaks was arrested in connection with the incident.
He has since been released on bail until Monday, March 18, pending further investigation.
DC Tony Hatcher, of west Kent’s CID, said: “It is understood there were a number of people at the public house at the time of the incident and we are appealing to any witnesses who have not yet spoken to the police, to contact us.
“We are especially keen to speak to a man who was in the beer garden who may have important information.
“He is described as being white, of medium build and with short dark hair and a short beard.
“He was wearing a black jacket, dark blue slim-fit jeans, and white trainers.”
