The opening date for a new, redesigned Marks & Spencer store in Sevenoaks has been revealed.
The store, set to open in London Road on Wednesday, October 8 will cover over 29,000 sq ft and will host all the latest M&S styles for men and women and a cafe with seating for up to 70 people.
Once open, those visiting the store during the day will also have the chance to receive a free coffee in the Cafe by putting old items of clothing into the store's "Shwop Drop" box as part of the M&S Shwopping initiative, which provides clothing to Oxfam to be resold, reused or recycled.
The store, that is relocating from Bligh's Meadow across the road, also has a green living wall which provides natural insulation and acts to filter pollution and create an aesthetically-pleasing feature for the building.
Store manager, Jon Reddie, said: “We’re thrilled to be in the final stages of unveiling our enhanced store to customers and can’t wait for them to benefit from the introduction of our fashion ranges and an extended food offer, as well as the Café and in-store Bakery.
"All the staff are very much looking forward to welcoming old and new customers to the new store in October.”
The former M&S store in Bligh's Meadow will be shutting on Tuesday, October 7.
Mr Reddie will officially open the new store at 10am by cutting a ribbon and welcoming customers into the premises.
