Delays on M26 London bound between J2A for Wrotham and M25 following lorry fire near Dunton Green

Drivers faced lengthy delays throughout the morning rush hour after a lorry fire closed part of the M26 near Dunton Green.
The motorway was shut London-bound between J2A for the A20 London Road at Wrotham and the M25.
One lane reopened just after 6am, but the other lane remained closed for vehicle recovery and clean-up work until about 10am. Delays have since cleared.
At one point, drivers were stuck in queues stretching back more than four miles.

The blaze broke out at around 4am and emergency crews were called to the scene.
Two fire engines and a bulk water carrier attended and crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the flames using hose reel jets.
No injuries were reported and firefighters left the scene just before 5.30am.
National Highways also attended to assist with traffic management.
